How To

Step 1

Attaching Fittings to Crossbeams

Stage 1
  • For this first step you will need: (7) 52” pipes, (10) Offset Flanges, (9) Double Tab Offset Flanges and (3) Single Socket Tees.
  • Start by Sliding fittings on 52” pipe (as shown in above instructions). You should have three fittings on every pipe except for one which should have four fittings.
  • Center middle fittings (as shown in above instructions) and tighten set screws.
  • Measure equal distance of the left and right fittings from the middle (as shown in above instructions) and tighten set screws.
  • For the 52” cross beam pipe with four fittings, you will need to slide Single Socket Tee onto pipe intill its around 3” away from the Double Tab Offset Flange then tighten set screw.

Step 2

Attaching Fittings to Crossbeams Continued

Stage 2
  • For the next step you will need (2) 74” pipes, (4) Side Outlet Tee’s and (2) Offset Flanges.
  • Slide one Offset Flange onto each pipe, center then tighten set screws.
  • Slide a Side Outlet Tee onto one end of 74” pipe, measure equal distance from center then tighten set screws.
  • Make sure that the side outlet tees are even with each other on each pipe.

Step 3

Building Legs

Stage 3
  • For this next step you will need (7) 12” pipe, (2) 18” pipe, (7) Flanges and (4) Single Socket Tees.
  • Slide each 12” pipe into Flange and tighten set screws.
  • Take the 18” pipe and attach bottom of Single Socket Tee’s to each side of pipe.
  • Make sure not to block the holes for the Single Socket Tee’s so a pipe can slide through them.

Step 4

Attaching Fittings to Headboard Pipes

Stage 4
  • Place Fittings on 52” pipe as seen in above image for the headboard.
  • Wood Pieces for the headboard will be attached to the Offset Flanges in between the Elbows and Single Socket Tees.

Step 5

Building Frame

Stage 5
  • Take four of your 52” crossbeams (as shown above in instructions) and attach them to 74” pipe built in Stage 2.
  • Note that one of the crossbeams you are using is the pipe with four fittings attached to it. This will be the second pipe from the foot of the bed and used as an extra support
  • Make sure your offset flanges are facing the correct direction. These should be flush with the top surface as they will secure the wood platform in place.

Step 6

Building Headboard

Stage 6
  • Take the last remaining three 52” crossbeams and attach them to the 52” headboard pipes (as shown above in instructions) built in Stage 4.
  • Make sure the offset flanges are facing the correct direction.

Step 7

Attaching Legs and Headboard to Frame

Stage 7
  • First, slide the headboard into the back openings. These pipes should enter the Side Outlet Tees, go through the Single Socket Tee attached to the (2) 18” pipes, and sit in 2 flanges.
  • Raise the platform up the headboard pipes 12” and secure set screws.
  • Using the help of someone, lift the foot of the bed platform and insert 12” pipes into remaining sockets of the bed platform.
  • Be sure the open end of the Single Socket Tees on the 18” pipes slide into the closest 12” pipes to the headboard. This will help keep the bed secured.

Step 8

Attaching Wood

Stage 8
  • Before installing headboard wood pieces. You will need to line up the wood and mark the holes of the Offset Flanges for predrilling. These will be installed with nuts and bolts so make sure you have a big enough drill bit when drilling.
  • To finish this project off take your (2) 51.5”wide x 8” tall boards and attached them to the Offset Flanges using nuts and bolts
  • Take your larger 54”wide x 76” depth wood piece and attach to Offset Flanges using wood screws.
